I was a believer, but I didn’t know God. In 1986 I was told about the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues.
About a year later I was ready to change my life—life had just broken me down.
I wanted to know this power of God. I got to a meeting heard testimonies and the talk, after the meeting I was asked if I wanted to ask for the Holy Spirit. I did—I got on my knees and asked God and my tongue changed.
My experience was lining up with the word of God. I was baptised that night also. I am thankful God is patient, it took about 18 months before I had a vision of what the Lord wanted me to do. I was kinda on the fence for a while getting some blessings but missing out on a lot. I had a pray for strength and since then I have been immensely blessed and had the strength to overcome.
With the recent 2022 flood in Lismore it came into my workshop, where I run my auto body spray paint business, and wrecked everything.
I rejoice that I have a dry and warm house. I’m thankful that my family was able to move to my Mum’s place in Goonellabah for a week after the first flood, fuel was scarce in the early stages following the first flood. So being in Goonellabah made travelling to my workshop so much easier at that time. My son and daughter-in-law were able to get down and came to help which was a blessing.
I received great help from the folk at Lismore Revival Fellowship, we all got to my workshop Saturday morning to a big mess and by the afternoon the shop was empty and hosed out. I was blown away by how much we got done in a day. It is such a blessing to be apart of this family of God.
I can see the Lord has our back in every situation. In 3 weeks I had power back in the workshop. My motorbike that went under in the flood got going again. The Lord has just blessed the whole situation. I go to work now and it’s like normal. But as soon as you leave the industrial estate life is not normal, it is going to take a really long time for people to rebuild. I just really thank the Lord for that bubble I’m in, the blessings in this situation, and the blessing he gives my family. Amen
