Sunday Communion Meeting

August 23, 2026

We'd love to see you on Sunday!

What Will I Find Here?

We're a Bible-based, Spirit-filled Christian church that believes God's Word is just as relevant today as it was when it was written.

Our focus isn't on religious tradition or ceremony. It's on developing a genuine relationship with God.

Central to our faith is the Bible's teaching that a person must be born again. When Jesus spoke of being "born again", He was describing a genuine spiritual transformation that brings us into a new life with God.

On the Day of Pentecost, when people asked the Apostle Peter what they needed to do to be saved, he gave a clear and direct answer:

"Repent, and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38, KJV)

We believe this remains God's plan for salvation today. It begins with repentance, continues through baptism by full immersion in water, and is completed by receiving the Holy Spirit. Just as in the New Testament, we believe the Bible teaches that the evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

Every week you'll meet people who have experienced God's power in their own lives through answered prayer, healing, hope, purpose, and the life-changing experience of receiving the Holy Spirit.

What Happens at a Sunday Meeting?

Our Sunday Communion Meeting begins at 1:30pm and usually lasts around two hours. A typical meeting includes:

  • Meeting begins with singing choruses
  • Personal testimonies
  • Bible-based Talk
  • Communion
  • Operation of The Spiritual Gifts
  • Prayer Line
  • Time to chat over tea and coffee afterwards

Every meeting is centred on God's Word and designed to encourage people in their walk with Him.

At 4:00pm there is an additional informal 45minute presentation that delves a little deeper into various aspects of the Bible: prophecy, Bible numerics, state of the world, God's creation.

What About My Children?

Families are an important part of our fellowship.

We offer a dedicated Sunday School where children enjoy age-appropriate Bible lessons in a safe, caring, and engaging environment while parents attend the main meeting.

Many families appreciate knowing their children are learning about God in a way that is enjoyable, practical, and suited to their age.

What Should I Wear?

Whatever you're comfortable wearing.

Some people dress more formally, while others come casually. There isn't a dress code, and nobody is judged by what they wear.

We're much more interested in meeting you than in what you're wearing.

Will I Be Asked to Do Anything?

No. You're welcome to simply come, observe, and get a feel for the meeting. There is no pressure to participate, speak publicly, or contribute financially.

Feel free to ask questions before or after the meeting if you'd like to know more.

What Do You Believe?

We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word and that His message of salvation remains unchanged.

Jesus taught that people should repent, be baptised by full immersion in water, and receive the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible teaches that speaking in tongues is the biblical evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit, just as it was in the New Testament Church.

More importantly, we believe that God's promises are not confined to history. He is still changing lives today.

Is This Church for Me?

You don't need to have all the answers before you visit.

You don't need to know the Bible. You don't need to have your life perfectly together.

Whether you're exploring Christianity for the first time, returning after many years away, or simply searching for hope, you'll be warmly welcomed.

We'd Love to Meet You

If you're looking for a church where the Bible is taught, lives are changed, and God is still at work today, we'd love to welcome you.
